Call for Papers [pdf]

We invite technical papers describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, empirical, and experimental software engineering research. The goal of the conference is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners from both academia and industry to meet and share cutting-edge advancements in the field of software engineering. All submissions should clearly identify their contribution to the state of the art and their potential usefulness. Submissions are invited broadly in all aspects of software engineering, including but not limited to, the following:

- Requirements Engineering - Testing and Static Analysis
- Empirical Software Engineering and Metrics - Specification and Verification
- Software Engineering Economics - Model Driven Software Engineering
- Software Architecture and Design - Tools and Environments
- Development Paradigms and Processes - Maintenance and Evolution
- Human factors in Software Engineering - Quality Management
- Component Based Software Engineering - Object-Oriented Technology
- Service oriented architecture and web services - Distributed software development
- Software Engineering Project Management - Software as a Service
- Software Engineering Education - Knowledge management in software engineering
- Cloud Computing and Software Engineering - Software Security
- Mining Software Repositories - Agile Software Development
- Computer Supported Collaborative Work - Mobile, embedded and real-time systems

Papers describing Industry Experience are welcome. Several of the above topics are very pertinent to IT Services industry in India, and we particularly encourage practitioners in the services industry to submit papers and participate in the conference. Industry experience papers will have a different review criterion.

Selected high-quality submissions to ISEC will have the opportunity to choose “a presentation only” option and receive mentoring from the expert reviewers during and after the conference. This is a special measure for increasing quality submissions to ICSE 2014, to be held in Hyderabad, India, from its host country.
